Annual Sports Performance Periodization Programming (ASPP)
In any training programme, intensity should vary so that there is no danger of overtraining.
In sports performance, this same rule applies, but training is organized in more detail so that the athlete peaks for competition. It is often planned out over at least a year, or even over several years.
The athlete works on different areas of fitness within this plan so that everything comes together for optimum performance at a specific time.
This is one of David’s specialities and he has worked with a number of sports people to get them ready for competition safely and without injury.
